I DID use my The Story Matters kit for one layout, but both were FUN!
REALLY fun!
Especially the second one when I just grabbed a TON of embellishment that I was hording and just went to town!!

OK, so I worked this weekend on Mother's Day, and the My Little Shoebox paper was just STARING at me... so I made this on the spot. :)
On display now at Scrapaganza. :)
(these were taken on my phone... my new phone takes surprisingly large pictures for a phone!)
This is SUPER easy paper to work with, and we have a several lines in the store! WITH several of those circle die cuts! Come in and check it out!

I have been a fan of The Paper Trunk since the first time I saw them debut at CHA-gosh, was it 3 years ago? They were one of the first that cared to be "green" (packaging, products...) and I SO respect that! And I was asked to Guest Design for them awhile back too! LOVE thier products! One of those layouts I did back then is a favorite from that time!

This one, I just did NOT want to cut up this piece of paper! And the ice cream truck visit seemed to fit the bill...
Don't fall over... I did a two page layout!
And then one of my munchkins det something wet down by it...
That's life (and art!) :)

I played with my glimmer mist again. Offset the piece of paper on the left and sprayed... and masked "super hero" with letter stickers below right. Red seems to be my favorite color of mist!
And I decided the only way to post ANYTHING about my punks, is to include at least one picture with each scrapbooking post!
So here is Gavin with his math olympics certificate. He didn't get a ribbon, but I am proud of him. He did story problems instead of regular math problems because he enjoys them and "they are more challenging." I rather see him try something he maybe hasn't mastered... good boy!
And Gabriel, hamming it up during chapel. Yes. My son was hamming it up in chapel!
They did a little play and hosted chapel at school. :)

OK, try not to laugh at my Edward-Twilight addiction layout! :)

I watched the first movie on Showtime cuz it was free (cuz I wasn't gonna watch that silly vampire movie-but if it's free-lol!).

Well, I watched Twilight, and I HAD to read the books!
(I am a sucker for romance, and give me a handsome God believing vampire... ahhhh-what???)
I read all four books in the series in a week... I was a shut in. :)
Now I have a countdown to Eclipse on the blog. Loser. :)

Weekend away...

Got away with these fine ladies to Lake Geneva:It was drizzly, so I didn't take a lot of photos.

But I did create these:And one more that will be revealed on Sketch Day for May from Imaginisce! :)

I made the Studio Calico Blog! :)

I had wanted to transform my old bulletin board for some time... and then Studio Calico was having a challenge to make a home decor item... and the example was using something you had already...


I had JUST seen some awesome inspiration from Jennifer...

How could I resist the challenge!


Something old made new again.
In the past it just held coupon I'd forget to use, or sign-up sheets I eventually forgot!

Try it... make something new out of something old!

Just to tempt you.... this is a sneak peek of my sketch for The Story Matters, that will post tomorrow! :) It's a simple sketch to work with! I just loved it! :)

Then I joined the banner craze, and worked with American Crafts papers to complete the challenge "changing seasons"... (in layout form). :) So I thought to say Goodbye to Summer.
Weird time for that, huh? :)
THEN, while going through my stuff contemplating what will go in the Scrapaganza Garage Sale, I came across this paper, and thought to do a quick page. :)
AND (whew, huh?) I wanted to scraplift myself, cuz I thought this paper lent itself to a Christmas layout I did with American Crafts previously. I worked with the Adobe line of papers (LOVE the colors and the bold graphics!) & I did this page! (Excuse the graininess of the photo-I used the store camera, cuz I left the layout there. I think they have it set on "the smallest and grainiest possible. Yeah THAT works for me. {sigh})
I LOVE my I-Top for pages like these!!!
Making brads that I can center the image on the brad... YEAH! Love that! :)

Easter slide show! :)

Just thought I would throw together a quick slide show of our Easter!

We continued the tradition of church, then straight to "Grandpa Don and Grandma Dinah's" house for an Easter egg hunt! Still a blast for them-as you can see from them running around "on the hunt"! I even caught a shot RIGHT before Gavin collided with his cousin Arra! (No injuries) Too funny!

Grandpa and Grandpa throw in lots of change and even hide some dollars, in addition to the sweet treats!

Cora has gotten a "dress-up" dress from Grandma Dinah's for a couple years now for Christmas... perfect, I think for Easter wear! :)

Everyone ate well and had a great time!
