For a Friend!!!

May of you know Candi from Scrapaganza. She has been very missed at the store...
I have been fortunate enough to continue to call her friend... She is my creative buddy that is always up for some creative adventure, or to vent about the scrapbooking world!
Obviously her world, and all of us that know and love her, has been rocked by the illness she is battling with her daughter. Just finding out WHAT was wrong has been a trial!
Reese is the cutiest and sweetest thing! She is something special indeed!
Her daughter needs our prayers.
And beyond that Kim has come up with a creative way for creative people to "do" something!
Keep your prayers coming!
Every one is needed!!
(Visit Candi's blog or her facebook page for updates)
Now go create! (Read below)It's good therapy!

Jillibean Soup Sketch...

...I must be motivated by sketches at the moment! :)

I decided to try out the Jillibean Soup sketch to help get some scrappin' done!I turned it upside down, and kept it simple...
Also used the Jillibean Soup in my stash to make yesterday's sketch for The Story Matters...
AND since it was all sitting on my desk/work table, I made this one too!

I've been dying to use the Martha Stewart punch this way... I punched it three times in a row, then clipped off some of the birds randomly.

Here are the details...

The stamp set is from Studio Calico. The flower I made using my Sizzix Die.
The "love" is from the backing of the Prima flowers I used (the little roses).
Megan Klauer has be addicted to this border punch, and I thought I would try addin' little scraps in it's shape-in her honor! :)

Thanks for looking!
Hopefully you are doing some creating too?
Tomorrow is sneak peek day at The Story Matters!
This month we will have sneaks on the 15th still, but then each day leading up to the release of the April kit, we will be showing a project/layout a day in it's entirety leading up to sale day!

Sketch Challenge over at The Story Matters!

Check out this simple, but oh so usable sketch that Bree designed for The Story Matters! Here is what I did with it...
The paper is Jillibean Soup, from the kit (new from CHA)

I used a stamp for the tree (w/words) then I overlapped with the transparency tree (My Mind's Eye) and then the die cut card stock tree and dots popped. I wanted to design SOMETHING with this idea brewing in my head. :) I think it worked well, even though these size stamp sets make you think "card" first. The owl is from the same set here:
(Available at Scrapaganza)
The misted deer... I saved the sticker back from the chipboard embellishment from Sassafrass.
I save any of those sticker backs in a baggie, just in case I want to use them later. :)

Tried out the new banner stickers from Jenni Bowlin...
Oh, and that trim has snaps on it-one side. Came in a bag of random trims I bought once. :)
Ya have until NEXT Sunday (not tomorrow) to get your creation!

If just even one...

...person watches these and it changes their thinking enough to make a difference in even their own health, THAT is huge.
I think these should be "required" watching, of all people...
(and they are all "watch instantly" choices on Netflix! :) )

I dare ya. :)And if your having a baby...
